Areas of Training

Includes six weeks of training that includes teaching the attitudes and habits needed to be a successful restaurant employee. How restaurants and other food-related businesses operate. Basic and advanced knife skills used as a Prep or Line Cook at a restaurant and the essential steps to keeping food safe and clean. Also assistance with job placement and ongoing support from Arkansas Food Jobs. A certificate of program completion from Arkansas Food Jobs (good for up to 6 hours of articulated credit at UA-PTC’s Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management Institute).

This is a fast-paced hands on project. You will learn construction basics and foundational principals while working with other team members. You will also be actively involved in home construction. This is a learn while you earn opportunity.

Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
Driving a Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) requires a higher level of knowledge, experience, skills, and physical abilities than that required to drive a non-commercial vehicle. In order to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), an applicant must pass both skills and knowledge testing geared to these higher standards. We partner with commercial trucking companies and schools to help you gain the skills necessary to obtain employment once your training is complete. These courses range from 3 to 6 weeks in length.

In a nutshell, we partner with local organizations who teach our participants the skills necessary to succeed in the retail industry. You will learn the day-to-day retail related responsibilities and operations of a retail store. This is a learn while you earn opportunity.
